The Amazing Spider-Man, also known as The Amazing Spider-Man: The Game, is a video game serving as a sequel to film of the same name. Most versions of the game were developed by Beenox and published by Activision.
The game was originally set to be released on the same day the movie was released, July 3, 2012, but the developers of the game pushed the date up to June 26, 2012. The game was released then on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DS (the NDS version of the game being released by Griptonite Games). Two days later, the game was released for iOS and Android and was still published by Activision, but developed by Gameloft.
On October 13, 2012, Marvel has confirmed that the video game will be released in Spring 2013 on the Nintendo Wii U, also being developed by Beenox.
